Unbelievable!

I just had the privilege of hearing the australian open semifinal between federer and roddick live. It was the first time I heard tennis on radio! The match was just unbelievable! Complete domination for Federer with the scoreline of 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. It was not that Roddick was playing bad, but he just met someone at the top of his game. After the first set, it was just game over. Probably the fastest semifinal in men's grandslam history.

The view outside the window....

...is very beautiful at the moment. Blue skies, sunny day, and snow on the ground. Looks like we are in the mountains. The trees are all white, and there is no signs of civilization. First time it feels like winter this year. We had a relentless spell of rain, which finally abated on Sunday (after around 90 days of rain). Sunday was also beautiful but Monday brought a decent amount of snow on the ground which has not been washed away (as there is no rain and the temperature is fairly cold, it was -4C when I dropped Prarthna this morning).

Sunday we went to Sharad and Meeta's. It was good for Prachi to get out (as she has been mostly indoors with a injured ankle which happened in India). Prarthna had a good time with Avin and we enjoyed as well. It was a good lunch (Utthapams). Prachi is at work today for the first time, and hopefully, it goes well.

I will stop now, as I must get back to work. I did not want to miss this chance to write, as the rains can be back any moment and this view will then be lost!
