The weather has been amazing!

We have really been blessed by the weather Gods lately. It has been beautiful - blue skies, calm, sunny all day, and with the time change this weekend, sunset is not until 8 PM. The temperatures have also been quite balmy. We have tried to enjoy it as much as we can, and it is certainly difficult to be indoors most of the day during the week. We took a long walk on Sunday till the lake (with a small stop at the flea market) and went to Gamlehaugen on Monday.

Hope this continues for some more time...We had too much rain in the fall and with the sun and the long days, Bergen is certainly one of the best places in the world to live in!

A nice evening...

After many false starts, we finally managed to have a get together among some friends, who are all members of the "university" community in one way or the other. It was a fine evening, with lots of nice food, chatting, and kids playing. We had 5 kids in the house (Prarthna, Shurjo, Ruchi, Nikita, and Rehan). Everyone chipped in with the food (it was a pot-luck event) and also with washing afterwards. So it was not too stressful, and it was a fun event. We chatted, ate, drank tea, and sang some songs. There were two desserts (good for the ones with the sweet tooth) - a yummy cheesecake and gulab jamun. So it was good over all!
